Last night Shazam announced its Brand Takeover, a new capability that offers brands the chance to advertise on the brand’s app.

Interested brand’s can literally ‘take over’ the whole screen of the Shazam app for a day, enabling them to tap into Shazam’s network of global users.

Brands such as Apple, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, HBO, Deezer and Netflix have already signed up to the service.

“Brands are now able to seamlessly strike a balance between user experience and advertising, and the results have been amazing,” says Shazam CRO Greg Glenday. “Some advertisers have told us the Takeover is among the highest performing units across their entire digital media plans!”
