In a corporate jab to top London hotels charging thousands for the rooms with the best views, easyHotel have launched Fake Views, a scheme where for £1 hotel residents can purchase a fake view of Tower Bridge or Buckingham Palace for their room in the Old Street hotel.

"Why shell out a fortune when you could be spending your hard-earned cash on the experience of the city itself? " asks easyHotel night manager Jorge Rodriguez. "the real experience of the capital is the experience on the streets, in the museums, restaurants and shops – not staring out of window."

This stunt has been created to highlight how the hotel chain, owned by easyJet, lets visitors experience more of the real city, with the money they're saving by staying at a budget hotel being available for them to experience more of a city's culture, food, and sights.
