Tattoos were previously associated with subcultures, traditionally denigrated to sailors, prisoners and Hell’s Angels' motorcyclists. And aside from tattoos, these groups were also known to enjoy a drink and would be known as avid Whiskey drinkers.

Which is perhaps why Barton F Graf thought that something tattoo-related would be the perfect inspiraton for a campaign for American whiskey brand, Bulleit.

Since tattoos have entered popular culture and become increasingly accepted by the mainstream, the agency decided to develop an ink-inspired campaign to promote the brand and launch its The Bulleit Frontier Works video series.

Bulleit teamed up with 24 local tattoo artists to create the first ever 32-foot tattoo, which is currently installed on the corner of Sunset and Hyperion in LA.

Each artist donated a prized piece of their artwork which was fitted into a segment of the overall installation. The mural aims to celebrate the surrounding multicultural community of LA and share the distinctive style and artwork of each artist.

The above is only a teaser of the installation process as a full video will be released on the brand's YouTube channel soon. So, keep your eyes peeled! Or follow #FrontierWorks for more info while you wait.
