While Valentine’s Day is fundamentally about expressing love for your partner, Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong has created a fun animation to encourage safe sex for The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, an organisation focussed on the prevention of HIV.

With animations from Mrzyk & Moriceau, the brightly-coloured PSA features Dick the Dog, who has an unfortunate obsession with holes.

From doughnuts, potholes and rubber rings, there’s nowhere Dick won’t go, much to the dismay (and disgust!) of his owner.

The fun PSA aims to raise awareness of the importance of safe sex among younger generations and encourage them to wear a condom, striving to prove that safe sex can also be enjoyable.

"Dick the Dog is a mischievous little mutt who gets extremely excited whenever he sees a hole" says O&M’s CCO Reed Collins. "But before Dick can go exploring he must put on his little raincoat. We had a lot of fun bringing the idea to life."

So just remember, when in doubt, do as Dick would.
