Persona Synthetics - the world’s number one vendor of premium Synthetic Humans for business and leisure - has ordered a mass product recall of its units following a series of malfunctions....

...Or so this new trailer for hit sci-fi show, Humans, on the UK's Channel 4 would have you believe. Created by the channel's in-house creative department, 4Creative, the new campaign follows on fromlast year's 360 activation which saw, among many other things, a shop mysteriously pop up on London's Regent Street advertising the fictitious product.

As well as the trailer [above], the show's premise has been supported through a fake interview with New Scientist Live between the magazine’s editor-in-chief Sumit Paul-Choudhury and Lee Winters, the chief communications officer for the fabricated company.

To make all of this rather unsettling campaign seem even more real, Persona Synthetics also boasts its own dedicated website, social media handles as well as offering customers the option to contact a member of the Persona Synthetics’s team via Facebook Messenger.

But the fun doesn't stop there... The campaign will also dispatch Persona Synthetics-branded vans to the nation's city centres - from London to Glasgow - to pick up faulty Synths as part of the Product Recall, even creating a bespoke Product Safety Recall page for eBay and personalising emails to Channel 4’s registered users requesting that they return their Synth alongside a series of conceptual TV and print ads to announce the recall.
