While the results of last week’s EU referendum have upset and left many Britons distraught, it seems all may not be lost thanks to a new initiative from Romanian agency GMP/Webstyler.

Romanian newspaper Gandul has created a way for all those who voted 'Remain', to reverse the current outcome of the referendum and become European citizens again.

The tongue-in-cheek campaign, Romanians Adopt Remainians, encourages Romanians to adopt British citizens in a bid to bring the two communities closer despite the recent turn of events.

Interested British applicants can have a mock Romanian ID card made up for them, in which the Romanian suffix ‘escu’ is added to their surname.

Visit the website here and consider whether becoming Romanian is a viable way for you to remain in the EU.
