There have been many strange uses for the live-streaming platform, Periscope. You may remember GoPro using it to live stream a professional shark dive in the Bahamas or when the world drew to a halt at the start of the year to watch people cross a puddle, courtesy of Drummond Central.

While these examples clearly offer the practical uses of the platform and not just the excellent ways in which to waste time, Land Rover has devised a way to intrigue consumers about their cars.

Now car buyers can experience what life inside a Land Rover vehicle is like without actually having to step into one.

Every Friday afternoon throughout April, car owners will be able to tune in to a live test drive via the brand’s Twitter channel and Facebook page and feel what it’s like to go on- and off-road.

Created by The Brooklyn Brothers, the campaign will test drive various models including the Land Rover Discovery Sport, Evoque, Evoque Convertible and the Sport SVR. Not only will you be able to experience life behind the wheels, but you can also ask live questions to the team about the car using the #LiveTestDrive hashtag.

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow, when the Discovery Sport will be test driven.
