Helen Weisinger is one of the managing partners at both HeyHuman and Brave as well as being an active member of WACL, a unique club for the most influential women in the UK advertising and communications Industries.

Having just returned from Cannes Lions where HeyHuman held a session on Neuroscience & Cognitive Tech at the Experience Stage, below she tells us what's on her creative radar.

What’s the best ad campaign you’ve seen in the past year?

Beats by Dre The Game Before the Game.

What website(s) do you use most regularly and why?

Amazon or Google, obvs.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought and why?

A PlayStation 4 for my son's 10th birthday. The graphics are ace.

Facebook, Instagram or Twitter?

Twitter.

What’s your favourite app on your phone and why?

Ocado, the online supermarket app. Still love it. Ensures my kids get fed.

What’s your favourite TV show and why?

The Trip or Would I Lie to You? What can I say? I love Rob Brydon (below, right).

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Blackfish – it’s an expose of Sea World. It’ll leave you gobsmacked.

Where were you when inspiration last struck?

[American folk-rock act] Sun Kil Moon at The Barbican. I know this is the wrong thing to say to any ‘muso’s’ out there but it inspired me to sack it off and head to the gin bar, fast.

What’s the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the industry since you started working in it?

It’s slowed down. We’ve lost our ability to be spontaneous.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

I’d ban dubbed foreign ads. That and a more balanced, diverse industry.

What or who has most influenced your career and why?

A programme called Thirty Something, when I was 17 years of age. It was the reason I entered this business.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…

I know every word to the Welsh National Anthem.
