Future Lions competition now accepting entries
AKQA's competition to discover and exhibit new talent is now accepting submissions across all creative media.
For 13 years, AKQA has partnered with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to create Future Lions, a competition that gives young artists across different media a chance to have their work recognized and showcased on a global platform.
The theme for 2018's contest is Create Tomorrow, in which entrants are encouraged to explore the potential of new and evolving technologies, like artificial intelligence, alternative energy sources and blockchain. This year's aesthetic is inspired by Art Deco, combining historic and traditional influences with the functionality of modern technology to create a new genre of art not seen before by the world.
The five winning teams will be awarded the Future Lions Trophy on stage at Cannes Lions, as well as receiving full access to the Festival. Additionally, the school with the highest number of shortlisted entries will be honoured as the Future Lions School of the Year, winning the opportunity to participate in career workshops with AKQA's international teams.
Young artists from all around the world are encouraged to enter via the Future Lions website before 18:00 GMT on 18 April 2018.
