Biscuit Filmworks has signed acclaimed documentary director Errol Morris to its commercial roster, where he will be repped in the US and the UK.

New York-born Morris is best known for his documentary work, most notably directing The Thin Blue Line, Academy Award-winning The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Rovert S. McNamara and Gates of Heaven, although he has 11 features to his name.

He is also an established commercials director, having helmed over 1,000 commercials for various clients, ranging from Apple, American Express, Nike, Cisco and more, which have earnt him many awards throughout his career.

Morris has also received two DGA nominations; Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials as well as the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary for his work on The Fog of War and Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A Leuchter, Jr. 

“Commercials have always been like vitamins for me, an essential part of my daily dietary requirements. So I’m delighted to be in partnership now with the Biscuit community,” he says.

 

 

Morris’ latest film The B-Side: Elsa Dorfman’s Portrait Photography (trailer, above) is currently in cinemas and he is also working on an upcoming Netflix documentary miniseries, Wormwood.
