How many music vids have you seen today where a cardboard Ronald Macdonald pops out of a man's chest? Give the above a watch then chalk that down as one.

The music video, for Father John Misty's new single Total Entertainment Forever is directed by Adam Green and his production collective Four Gods and a Baby. It stars collective member Macaulay Culkin as a Kurt Cobain character within a cardboard set representing a VR video game. He gets crucified, terrorised by a hook-handed Ronald Macdonald (played by Misty, AKA Josh Tillman, himself), and generally has a worse time of it than any of the robbers he horribly disfigured and maimed in the Home Alone movies that brought Culkin to the public attention.

Oh, and the above happens too, in what is (hopefully) the moment that launches a hundred Halloween costumes.

The cardboard-designed sets and masks, of characters including Bill Clinton and John from Garfield (still with us?) are becoming somewhat of a directorial trademark for Green, who debuted them last year in his surreal movie Adam Green's Aladdin, which Green, formerly singer in the cult band The Moldy Peaches (of Juno fame) put up on his official YouTube last year after a film festival run.
