Scout Motors deliver a short history of America
Venables Bell + Partners. partnered with production company Elektra to create a cinematic sprint through 250 years of American innovation, ambition, invention, and exploration.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Scout Motors is celebrating the spirit of ingenuity that has shaped this country for generations, and the role Scout vehicles have played along the way.
From introducing the original off-roader in 1960 to pushing EV innovation forward today with the new Harvester range extender, Scout has long been built on the idea of expanding freedom and capability for American drivers.
To introduce this new technology and mark this historic milestone, Venables Bell + Partners. partnered with production company Electra Filmworks and director Ze’ev Waismann to create A Short History of America, a cinematic sprint through 250 years of American innovation, ambition, invention, and exploration.

Set to a soulful rendition of America the Beautiful, the 60-second film blends mixed media, archival imagery, cinematic recreations, famous faces, and breakthrough technologies into a love letter to the people and moments that shaped the nation - all culminating in Scout’s latest contribution: the Harvester range extender. A gas-powered generator engineered to combine electric performance with the range of gas, delivering EV capability with more freedom to spare.
At its core, the film positions Scout’s technology not just as a new chapter in automotive innovation, but as a tool built to reconnect Americans with the open road - and, more importantly, with one another.
The spot will launch across social media, online video, and additional digital platforms.
