powered byThe work taps into a growing cultural shift across India, where young founders are launching businesses from hostel rooms, shared apartments, and college campuses rather than traditional startup hubs. They build quietly, ship quickly, and do it all on Mac.
The two hero 90 films spotlight Kabeer and Ananya, two student founders turning ideas into real-world products. One of the 30 social films focuses on Guarav, the 2025 Swift Student Challenge Distinguished Winner, who built a fully functional medical emergency app on his Mac called Fast Aid in just 13 days, which is now live on the App Store, and presented his app to Apple CEO Tim Cook.
The annual Swift Student Challenge invites students from across the globe to bring their ideas to life through original app playgrounds built with Apple’s Swift coding language. The Challenge has given thousands of student developers the opportunity to showcase their creativity, coding capabilities, and learn real-world skills they can take into their careers and beyond.
This India campaign is a part of the larger global platform Great Ideas Start Here.
